Our company is growing We are searching for a candidate to join our team of talented woodworkers to craft and build custom woodworking and cabinetry projects. We are willing to train a novice with some experience in the woodworking field. If you are an expert craftsman with experience; we'd like to talk with you too!. The position pay scale is dependant on prior experience and capabilities. There is room for advancement for motivated individuals. Pay scale starts at 21.50 and extends into the 30's (and higher) for highly trained and experienced bench carpenters.

Cabinet Shop- Novice to Skilled Carpenter/ Cabinet Maker

Mid sized cabinet shop seeking qualified and experienced bench carpenters and sawyers to join our cabinet shop team. Experience with machinery operations ,cabinetry layout , and cabinet assembly preferred. There is room for advancement in positions and wages for motivated candidates. Hourly compensation with benefits after grace period- health insurance, paid time off, sick time rollover payout and other. Candidates must be punctual, reliable, motivated and professional.

Work Duties - are; but not limited to:

1) Produce or assemble components of articles, like store fixtures, office equipment, cabinets, or high-grade furniture

2) Set up or operate machines, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, tenoners, molders, or shapers, to cut, mold, or shape woodstock or wood substitutes (if trained/needed)

3) Measure as well as mark dimensions of parts on paper or lumber stock prior to cutting, following blueprints, to make sure a tight fit quality product

4) Reinforce joints with nails or other fasteners to prepare articles for finishing

5) Attach parts or subassemblies together to form completed units, using glue, dowels, nails, screws, or clamps

6) Establish the specifications of articles to be constructed or repaired or plan the methods or operations for shaping or assembling parts, based on blueprints, drawings, diagrams, or oral or written instructions (if trained/needed)

7) Cut timber to the right size as well as shape trim parts of joints to make sure a snug fit, using hand tools, like planes, chisels, or wood files

8) Match materials for color, grain, or texture, giving attention to knots or other features of the wood

9) Trim, sand, or scrape surfaces or joints to prepare articles for finishing

10) Bore holes for insertion of screws or dowels, by hand or using boring machines

11) Program computers to operate machinery (if trained/needed)

12) Estimate the amounts, types, or costs of needed materials (if trained/needed)

13) Perform final touch-ups with sandpaper or steel wool

14) Install hardware, like hinges, handles, catches, or drawer pulls, using hand tools

15) Discuss projects with customers, and also draw up detailed specifications (if trained/needed)

16) Repair or alter wooden furniture, cabinetry, fixtures, paneling, or other pieces

17) Apply Masonite, formica, or vinyl surfacing materials
