Sales Associate (FT or PT)
We are looking for top-notch sales associates for Thomas Building Center. This individual would be responsible for assisting customers throughout the buying process. Your responsibilities include taking orders, answering questions relating to the order, receiving payment and executing the order. You should provide quick and efficient service, ensure maximum customer satisfaction, and resolve all queries professionally.
To be successful as a sales associate, you should provide excellent customer service, consistently maintain the image and vision of the organization, and achieve the sales goals of the company. An outstanding sales associate should display a positive attitude, focusing on customer satisfaction, maintain an orderly appearance, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Greeting and assisting customers with queries and providing solutions quickly.
Possessing excellent product knowledge to inform and increase sales.
Recommending related products to increase customers' options and enrich the shopping experience.
Accepting and processing orders, operate the POS register and resolve return issues.
Following up on inquiries/orders to prevent delay and frustration.
Updating the product inventory.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Ensuring that each customer leaves the store satisfied.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Excellent customer service skills and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge and use of cash register.
Work well both independently and as a team member.
Good personal appearance.
Frequent bending, lifting/moving up to 50 lbs., reaching, standing walking.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
