If so, apply to our Program Assistant role at Gateway Adult Services.Your Role: The Program Assistant’s primary responsibilities fall under the areas of Program Services, Group Facilitation, and Care Plan Management. As such, you will be interacting with a broad range of individuals throughout the day including program participants, family members/care givers, specialized therapists, program RNs/LPNs, other coworkers, and supervisors.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to)
Program Services – Assist staff and participants during activities, meals/snacks, and when participants are physically standing, walking, or transferring, following the guidance provided by Gateway occupational therapists and/or nurses for such activities.
Group Facilitation – Design, schedule, and supervise a variety of meaningful and appropriate group activities incorporating games, crafts, reading, music, and prescribed exercises.
Care Plan Management – Assist in care plan development, maintain clear notes on participants’ progress, and adhere to HIPPA guidelines to maintain privacy on all participants’ health and care needs.Needed Attributes: This position requires individuals that are skilled in both communication and listening.REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED
Prior experience working in health care, aging services, and/or services for people with disabilities (preferred)
Flexible schedule of availability
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and submit proof of vaccination(s)
Must pass DSHS background check and remain in compliance
Must complete/obtain trainings required as CPR, Basic Life Support (BLS), Food handler's PermitJob type: Full-Time/Part TimePay: $16:50 per hour
