Jefferson County Parks and Recreation is seeking two park caretakers sharing one RV for Gibbs Lake County Park. Caretakers work 20 hours/week total (not each). Caretakers provide maintenance and supervision for Gibbs Lake Park trails, beaches, and amenities; and will also assist at other county parks as needed. In exchange, we’ll provide a lakeside RV site with water, power, septic hook-up, high speed fiber internet service (installation scheduled October 2025), trash service and use of one large garage bay.

Gibbs Lake Park is a tranquil, safe, & beautiful 740-acre nature park with a pristine lake, forest, and 14 miles of trails. Caretakers serve as respected and vital members of a professional and dynamic team. The position will begin September or October of 2025.

This is an annual contract services agreement, not a Jefferson County employment opportunity. The position is open until filled. First review of applications will occur on August 19, 2025. For more info, including the sample caretaker’s agreement, see www.countyrec.com, or call Matt Tyler at (360) 385-9129.
