Buena Luz Bakery is looking for a Pastry Chef to join our team. The pastry chef would come in a couple days a week to do the morning bake which involves mixing, baking and preparing pastries to sell that day. This is a fast paced job that requires the ability to work independently and under a time crunch. The pastry chef would also be asked to come in and assist other pastry chefs and bread bakers with additional bakes.
Hours: 3am - finish (10-11am) (days for these hours are flexible) and 6am - 12pm (days are flexible, working with other staff)
Requirements:
WA state food handlers card
Follow recipes and ensure consistency in product quality and taste
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
Have own transportation
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Lift and move 50lbs
Care about quality of products
Provide excellent customer service by assisting with inquiries and fulfilling special orders
Skills:
Ability to work quickly and efficiently
Work independently
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and timing
Able to adapt and learn in a busy environment
Team oriented mindset

Starting wage $17/hr + tips (DOE)
