I am looking for an organized and compassionate person to assist me in serving migrant workers in our area at a small Occupational Health Clinic.
About us: Our Company provides healthcare services for work-related and non-work-related illnesses and injuries for workers of a local fruit producer. We are the first face they see when they are seeking care and the clinic is a place of culturally positive support and comfort for them, as well as a place they trust will help them get well.
About you: You are bilingual and biliterate, have good computer skills, learn quickly, are flexible and are open to learning new things. You are calm when things get busy, good at prioritizing, and can listen and communicate in a positive manner. There will be times when you will be at the clinic alone to answer phones, schedule appointments and connect with other clinics for patient questions or needs, so the ability to work independently is important.
Medical experience is not required. It is just the two of us, so the ability to work together is very important.
This is a part-time position and the hours can vary a little bit, but they will be primarily morning hours. They start slow and will increase as we move toward the Fall, as worker needs increase. The position is seasonal, at this time, however that may change depending on clinic and worker needs.
