Position Summary: Perform maintenance, repair, filling and upgrade services to rail lubrication units. Provide professional and accountable service to railroad customers regarding lubrication, lubrication equipment and related products and services in a manner that adheres to our commitment to safety, honesty and integrity. Duties and Responsibilities:

Inspect, repair, maintain and fill wayside lubricators and bulk dispensing units per the requirements.

Inspect, repair, and fill hy-rail lubrication units when requested by contractor.

Physically inspect Gauge Face and Top of Rail wayside units at a regular interval, as specified by contracts.

Evaluate the effectiveness of equipment (grease level, battery voltage, condition hoses, mats, bars and verify functionality of the wheel sensor) and ensure that all systems are working as intended.

Complete logbook for each inspection documenting date and what was fixed, if anything.

Ensure appropriate lubrication and product refill of tanks are completed per specifics of contract.

Remove and reinstall Gang Work and wayside units prior to beginning assigned work.

Upgrade wayside units in territory into compliance with the location and installation guidelines.

Maintain inventory of parts to ensure company is able to meet contract requirements.

Bring current or potential issues to the attention to the General Manager in a timely manner.

Required Education and Experience

Minimum Experience: Previous work-related experience providing high mechanical aptitude as well as knowledge of machine lubrication practices. Demonstrated maintenance and repair experience required. Experience working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Education: High school diploma or equivalency

Valid driver license: Yes, Class A CDL required upon hire.

Professional license or registration: No

Post-offer background check required: Yes, as required through E-Rail

Post-offer drug test required: Yes

Post-offer physical / functional test required: Yes, CDL Medical Card required

Safety Sensitive Position: Yes

Type and frequency of personal contact required: (general public, customers, organizations, and Tyree employees): Daily contact with Tyree employees, general public, other organizations and customer personnel, and contractors in person, online, or via the telephone.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk. Frequent talking and hearing is required. The employee will constantly be required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will be required to climb, balance, kneel, crouch and crawl on duty. They must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities are required such as close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. Employee will be exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, as well as oil and lubricant products. The noise level is moderately loud when in the field.

The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Work Schedule and Travel:

Regularly scheduled for 40-50 hours per week, 5-7 days per week / 8-12 hours per day, frequent overtime is required. Employees may be required to provide services during non-traditional business hours in order to meet operational demands. Weekly on the road travel is required.
