This Contract-to-Hire position is responsible for daily Safety Activities and providing support to the BRUKS-Siwertell Site Manager. This person will report directly to the BRUKS-Siwertell Site Manager

Primary Responsibilities – Capital Project Safety Support

1) Site Safety

a) This an entry level Site Safety Position. Previous experience will be helpful

b) Duties will include, but not limited to

i) Monitor contractor daily safety meetings,

ii) Assist in obtaining necessary work permits for sub-contractors,

iii) Maintaining written documentation in accordance with customer and OSHA requirements.

iv) Conduct jobsite safety audits

v) Investigate and generate reports for incidents and near-misses.

vi) Attend customer meetings as Bruks-Siwertell Site Safety Representative

c) Bonus to have OSHA 30-hour training (May provide training for correct applicant)

Secondary Responsibilities – Construction Support

1) Construction Coordinator

a) Assist Site Manager in Documentation of Daily Site Safety and Construction activities

b) Assist Site Manager with receiving and coordination of deliveries

c) Contribute to Quality Control efforts

Working Hours

1) Average 50 hours a week / 5 days per week. Possibility of Saturday/Sunday work.

2) Schedule will vary with site workload and is dependent on the Site Work Schedule

3) This is an hourly position.

Travel Expectations

1) The Site Safety/Construction Coordinator will be responsible for travel to and from the job on a daily basis. Project is located at Packaging Corp of America near Wallula, WA.

2) Any other Travel costs or expenses will be reimbursable according to Bruks-Siwertell guidelines.

Requirements

1) Industrial Construction Experience, preferably with Bulk Materials Handling

2) Able to walk over rough ground, climb stairs and ladder and be comfortable at heights

3) Valid Driver’s License

4) Proficient in Microsoft Office

5) A general understanding of applicable Safety and Construction Practices

6) Have at least three industry-related references
