Find your future with us.The Boeing Commercial Airplanes Product Development (PD) Integration organization is seeking a Model Based Engineering Manager – Level K to join the team in Everett, WA. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to establish and lead initiatives to modernize engineering for the future of commercial airplane development, and will be a champion for the implementation of Model Based Engineering (MBE) across the engineering functions.As an MBE manager, you will influence PD strategies to align with enterprise Digital Engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience in leading cross-functional teams, integration at an airplane level, production system and across product teams. They should have experience in early product development and proven ability to lead and empower teams through ambiguity.Position Responsibilities

Manages, develops, and motivates employees.

Develops and maintains positive relationships and cross-functional partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.

Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Engineering Product Lifecycle.

Partners with the Digital Transformation organization to influence strategies and gain alignment.

Strong execution orientation and project management.

Strong communication, listening, and collaborative skills.

Ability to adapt to discoveries and leverage team experiences to remove barriers to implementing MBE principles.

Ability to lead in a sophisticated, multi-varied problem environment.

Coaches employees in the organization in finding the sweet spot between getting the job done and creating a working-together, respectful environment.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience)

Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, electrical/electronics, aerospace, computer science, mathematics, or physics.

3+ years of experience in an engineering role.

3+ years of experience leading engineering teams.

Experience leading through influence and coordinating with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Systems Engineering, Product Lifecycle Management or other engineering functions.

Program and functional experience.

Experience with communication and interaction with other Boeing organizations, suppliers, customers, and collaborators to ensure effective integration and execution of a plan.

Experience in a development commercial airplane program and projects.
