Description We are offering a role as a Community Health Information Specialist in the Healthcare/NHS industry, located in Everett, Washington, 98208, United States. This is a long-term contract employment opportunity where you will operate as part of a healthcare team, handling and distributing patient health information. Responsibilities: Distribute and file patient health information accurately and systematically. Maintain, manage, and retrieve patient charts from archives as required. Receive and process releases of information (ROIs) in accordance with policy and HIPAA guidelines. Assist in and coordinate the data collection for chart audits and quality reviews. Respond to EHR tasks and telephone calls in a timely manner. Assist patients regarding health information and document all communications in EHR. Work independently and in a team environment to ensure smooth operations. Show initiative, energy, and effectiveness in a fast-paced environment. Implement creative problem-solving skills. Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as CRM and EHR SYSTEM. Handle billing functions, claim administration, and complaint handling effectively. Requirements Proficient in using CRM and EHR system for managing and organizing health data. Experience with McKesson or similar healthcare information systems. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites for data management and report generation. Understanding of Benefit Functions, Billing Functions, and Cash Activity in a healthcare setting. Experience in Claim Administration and handling patient's insurance claims. Proven ability in handling complaints and providing resolutions in a timely and efficient manner. Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Public Health, or related field. Previous experience in a community health setting is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse community members. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in compliance with all relevant regulations. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated commitment to promoting health and wellness in the community.
