PSNS - Marine ElectricianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Marine Electrician to work at PSNS on the elevator units of the USS NIMITZ and USS REAGAN. The role involves wiring, troubleshooting, and installing electrical systems on ships.Responsibilities
Work on the elevator units on the USS NIMITZ and USS REAGAN.
Perform wiring, troubleshooting, and installation of electrical systems.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Install conduits and pull electrical cables.
Bend conduits and perform electrical wiring tasks.
Ensure all work complies with shipyard standards.
Essential Skills
Experience as an electrician on ships.
Proficiency in wiring, troubleshooting, and installation.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Experience with conduit installation, cable pulling, and conduit bending.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in a shipyard environment.
Work Environment
Shipyard at PSNS.
Work outdoors and indoors on the ship.
Be prepared for varying weather conditions, including rain, sun, and snow.
Shift: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Saturday (55-60 hours a week).
Additional Compliance Information
OSHA 10 certification required.
PPE: Steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hard hats.
No medical monitoring required.
Export Controls Questionnaire required.
