MIG Production Welder: Full Time
We have an open position, for an individual who has the desire to fabricate and weld (MIG). We are a small shop specializing in machinery manufacturing and repair for the building component industry. Our reputation is built on quality work, strong customer service and support.
Essential Responsibilities:
Understand setup concepts
Designs and builds fixtures to aide in fabrication
Proficient in fabrication and welding
Proficient in assembling, blending, de-burring and troubleshooting
Strives to advance the shop through new technology and processes
Trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
Stay on task and ensure current day scheduled work is completed on-time
Work with team to build and sustain safe working environment
Maintain a positive work atmosphere
Help train and develop entry level fabricators and welders
Use de-burring tools and grinders
Perform other job duties as assigned by your supervisor
Physical Requirements:
Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting with arms extended.
Hand, wrist, and arm movement (full range).
Able to lift parts/fixtures that weigh up to 50lbs. Lifting of weights over 50lbs will be accomplished with lifting aids.
Must be able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, and all other personal protection as required.
You will be asked to do a weld test, so bring your welding gear.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
MIG welding: 1 year minimum (Welding degree or Certificate preferred)
Must be proficient at welding mild steel. Understand basic print reading, welding in all positions, grinding, plasma.
Must be willing to learn and adapt to our techniques
