About Us:
Alexei Ford Design Build is a small, uniquely creative, design-build firm based in Bellingham Washington. We focus on residential remodeling, and new construction projects. We take on all different kinds of projects, and are especially sought out for creative and non-traditional projects that require skill and problem solving from all of our team. We work collaboratively as a team and you will be working alongside other talented individuals during your work week. We work Monday through Thursday, so Friday is a day that we hope you can use for rest and relaxation in the beautiful PNW.
AFDB is currently looking for a highly skilled and organized project manager to work primarily on residential construction projects ranging from kitchen and bath remodels, to outdoor decks and siding, custom cabinets and trim work, new constructions, and maybe some metal fabrication projects as well. Some of our projects are high-end projects where detail, awareness, and quality of work and interactions with the client are important. We are looking for an organized individual that can manage the workflow of the projects, interface with our crews, suppliers, and customers in order to keep the project running smoothly.
We are a small company searching for a team member that is excited to grow with us. We are looking for a very capable and interested individual that will fit into our work culture. You will be splitting your time between the office and several of our local job sites to help with the hands on construction.
Skills and assets that we are looking for in an ideal applicant:
-Must have experience in construction
-Excellent communication and organization skills are critical in this role
-Experience managing a team of 2 or more individuals
-5 or more years of experience as a project management (preferably in the construction industry)
-Knowledge and experience with local building codes and practices a plus
-Capable of scheduling workflow and materials ordering for several projects at the same time in order to stay on schedule and on budget
-Must be fluent with Microsoft Office Suite. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT KNOW MICROSOFT OFFICE SUITE.
-Experience with project management software like Buildertrend, or other platform, a plus
-Experience with all construction tools required
-Comfortable communicating with clients, contractors, suppliers, and staff
-Trustworthy, dependable and punctual
-Able to work well individually, or with a team
-Ambitious and self-motivated
-Excited to learn new skills
-Detail oriented and take pride in your craft
-Able to carry 75 lbs
-Able to work in all weather conditions
-Pay attention to, and have knowledge of safety and preparedness procedures
-Maintain a professional appearance
-Have a valid driver's license and a reliable work vehicle
Compensation:
Competitive pay - DOE (We are looking for a highly skilled person with exceptional skills and are prepared to compensate accordingly.
