MADRONA WEAR
We specialize in repairing and altering clothing and outerwear. We have gotten busy over the past few months and we are seeking more help in the shop sewing and with selling retail.
Hours:
-Looking for a full-time or part-time person to help us in the shop. Ideally 4-5 days a week for 8 hours a day. We can work with you on your schedule if needed.
POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
Sewing and alteration specialist
-Someone with previous experience sewing, altering, and repairing clothing. If you DO NOT have any experience sewing, this is not the job for you. We will only be accepting applications from people with serious sewing experience.
-You need to know how to work a Serger, a straight stitch sewign machine, and an iron. If you have used industrial machines, you will be at the top of our applicant list :)
-English is not required as a first language.
Retail Salesperson and Cashier
-We are looking for someone who is great with customers, easy going and friendly, and most importantly loves clothes.
-Ideally you like the outdoors as well because we do sell a lot of camping and outdoor clothing.
The starting wage is 17/hr if you are not skilled in either sewing or retail. If you have experience operating an industrial sewing machine or have worked with clothing alterations before, the starting wage is 19+/hr. Enjoy bonuses for every 6+ months you're on the team, and we have a super flexible work schedule that can be tailored to your needs. We care a ton about sustainability and clothing so if you care about that its a huge plus!
