Event Venue near Fairhaven is looking for a part-time gardener / groundskeeper to join our team. We kindly ask that you please ONLY apply for this position if you are available Monday-Friday. April- October ( weekends on occasion)
Primary responsibilities include:
+ Plant/flower care, weeding, deadheading, clean up, and all outdoor care of manor and estate
+ Event setup of chairs and tables and parking and cleaning outdoor equipment
+ Some driving errands and odd jobs, pitching in when needed
Experience with the following is REQUIRED:
+ Gardening experience! Experience with care of plants, curiosity, and interest in learning.
+ Weeding, planting, watering, and upkeep of garden beds. Attention to detail.
+ Power and gardening tools (pressure washer and blower)
+ Some maintenance, painting, and handiwork a plus but not a deal breaker.
+ MUST be able to lift at least 50lbs, drive larger vehicles, use a ladder, and ok with heights.
The role we are hiring for is primarily manual labor. Gardening, watering, weeding, pruning, painting, sweeping, lifting, hauling, and all the labor involved in caring for the estate grounds and making sure they are perfect for our events. You would report to our Venue Manager. Along with the garden portion of the job, there is set up of large tables, chairs and other furniture for all events. Also some cleaning and miscellaneous tasks as needed. The groundskeepers work hard day to day behind the scenes to maintain the grounds for hundreds of celebrations and thousands of photos!
