LOOKING FOR MORE THAN JUST A RETAIL JOB?
We’re starting a small-but-mighty secondhand clothing store in downtown Bellingham — rooted in sustainability , affordability, and local impact. We believe fashion can be better for people, the planet, and your wallet.
This is a full-time role for someone who’s ready to do more than just clock in — someone who wants to show up, get involved, and help create something meaningful from the ground up.
You'll be helping shape the daily rhythm of the store and bringing our mission to life through your day-to-day work. From the sales floor to behind the scenes, you’ll be part of keeping great clothes in circulation — and out of the landfill.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a customer-facing position where you’ll take the lead on day-to-day store operations — from pricing and styling clothes to chatting with customers, photographing items, shipping orders, and keeping the space looking sharp . While you’ll have support available in the shop, this role is best suited for someone who’s comfortable stepping into the core responsibilities of a retail associate and keeping things running smoothly without supervision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Open/close and maintain an inviting, on-brand sales floor
Handle clothing intake, pricing, and customer communications
Photograph and list items for online sales
Show off select pieces for social media posts
Pack/ship online orders and update inventory records
Move and lift inventory or fixtures (up to 30 lbs as needed)
Share feedback and ideas as workflows evolve in the startup phase
WHO YOU ARE
You’ve worked in retail and know how to keep a sales floor running smoothly
You’re outgoing, friendly, and confident in customer-facing roles
You take initiative, stay organized, and don’t wait to be told what needs doing
You’re tech-comfortable and able to quickly learn systems for inventory, POS, and shipping
You’re physically able to move inventory and fixtures (up to 30 lbs) and stay on your feet throughout the day
You care about sustainability and want to make a difference
BONUS POINTS IF
While not required, you’ll stand out if you bring any of the following:
Experience leading shifts, training others, or holding a supervisory role
Previous experience in boutique or apparel-focused retail environments
Familiarity with fashion trends, styling techniques, or recognizable brands
Basic skills in mending or altering clothing — whether it’s hemming pants or patching up a favorite jacket
COMPENSATION & PERKS
$18.75–$19.25/hr (depending on experience)
