We are a small, busy acupuncture clinic looking for an energetic and positive part-time office assistant who will be the first point of contact for our patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, computer skills, and outstanding attention to detail. Occasional coverage for vacation/sick time for the other team member may be needed. We are looking for someone to assist our office manager with the day-to-day operations of the clinic.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
Answer phone calls, schedule patients, both current and new, and follow up with new patient appointment inquiries
Maintain patient records and schedule appointments for current patients
Collect copays and/or pre pay plan installments
Prepare herbal formulas as needed
Help manage day-to-day clinic operations
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
Computer experience and willingness to learn new software is key
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous experience in a medical office or similar setting preferred
Willingness to learn and grow with the clinic
Hours would be Wednesday 1:00pm – 6:00pm, Thursday/Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm with the expectation of adding Tuesdays 1:00pm – 6:00pm as the clinic grows. No weekends. Starting pay is $18 - $19/hour DOE. Due to the investment of time in training we are asking for a 1 year minimum commitment.
