Hiatus Campers is looking for outdoor geared folks who enjoy working with their hands! We build our custom, patented campers in house and take pride in providing a product that allows fellow adventure seekers to find comfort in the great outdoors. Job Summary:
This position is crucial in maintaining and strengthening the quality of our products. You would be responsible for inspecting our patented campers, addressing inconsistencies, participating in production, building reports, and formulating ways to improve upon our processes. This position requires the individual to work effectively in both a team and individual environment. This position is for someone who enjoys working with their hands and is detail oriented, but also a dynamic thinker with strong analytical capabilities.
Standard work schedule is Monday-Thursday (8am-5pm). We operate under a 36-37/hr week schedule (opposed to a traditional 40/hr week). A few times a year we have company meetings on Fridays.
Pay: Starting at $23/hour. 2 month probationary period, after which pay would increase to $25/hr.
Essential Duties:
-Quality Protocol Implementation. This includes following process documentation to uphold our quality standards, documenting camper progress at specified checkpoints, administering solutions to address areas needing improvement or repair, documenting quality issues or mistakes for review, and creating camper reports to analyze findings.
-Production Responsibilities. You will be expected to learn our processes, participate in parts of production, detailed cleaning and touch up of campers prior to installation, and follow documentation to complete each unit with great attention to detail. Safety is very important to us, so you must be able to adhere to safety guidelines as well.
-Working in a team environment. This includes effectively and respectfully communicating with other individuals at all stages of camper production. If there are any issues or mistakes that need to be highlighted during a report, concise and courteous communication style is important.
Requirements:
-Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
-Authorized to work in the US
-Great attention to detail
-Previous QC role experience is ideal
-Leadership or presentation experience
-Basic shop experience (e.g. woodworking, construction, building out your van, or working at a home shop)
-Ability to take accurate measurements and follow protocol
-Ability to read/write in English
-Effective communication skills (talking and listening), strong analytical and problem solving skills, and high motivation with an ability to multitask
-Must be able to lift 50lbs and be on your feet for long periods of time
-Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment where you will stand, lift, stretch, pull, push, carry, stoop, and walk.
