Indeco is a licensed and bonded general contractor in Ferndale, Washington, specializing in metal fabrication and design. Our projects span a variety of industries from food processing and agriculture to architecture, marine, and energy - offering you the chance to work on something new and exciting every day. Our in-house processes include CNC cutting (abrasive water jet, milling, routing, and turning), certified welding, fabrication, contract manufacturing, powder coating, glass beading, assembly, and field installation – just to name a few.
Our company is seeking to add a highly motivated, reliable, hands-on Shop Laborer who’s ready to learn, contribute, and thrive with our team. Cross training, growth, and advancement are encouraged and supported, and on-the-job training is provided.
Whether you’re just starting out or bringing years of metal fabrication experience, all skill levels are encouraged to apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Bring metal to life through finishing techniques like sand blasting, glass bead blasting, and powder coating.
· Assemble and package products using various tools and materials.
· Operate forklifts and handle materials with care and precision.
· Read and interpret shop drawings to help bring designs to reality.
· Communicate clearly and confidently with team members.
· Crosstrain in various areas of the shop
· Assist the Shop Manager in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the shop.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· A positive attitude and a strong sense of ownership in your work.
· Curiosity and willingness to learn about metals, tools, and fabrication processes (experience with stainless steel is a plus!).
· Solid shop math skills and the ability to read a tape measure accurately.
· Good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
· Commitment to safety and following shop protocols.
· Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements.
· Reliable transportation and a current valid driver license are a must.
· US Citizenship or authorized to work in the US.
· Negative pre-employment drug screen.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE
· The schedule is “four tens” Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
· Part-time or full-time available with some overtime during busy seasons.
· You’ll be working in a dynamic metal shop environment that includes dust, noise, and physical activity—lifting up to 50 lbs and moving in various positions throughout the day.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
· $21 to $23 per hour.
