DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Assistant Portfolio Manager, this position is accountable for the preservation and maintenance of a large multifamily property, including assisting with service requests, and preparing vacant apartments for occupancy.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in the preparation of apartments for occupancy by completing maintenance items, painting, etc.
Completes service requests and provides written documentation of work performed
Maintain cleanliness of the grounds and surrounding areas of the community with quality and attention to detail
Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers, including prospects, residents and vendors
Available for on-call emergency rotation
Supports asset preservation through participation in risk audits and curb appeal audits
May assist in the preparation of incident reports
Communicates progress on assigned tasks and other work to Assistant Portfolio Manager daily
Communicates material needs to Assistant Portfolio Manager and helps minimize expenses through inventory control
Adheres to the letter and spirit of Fair Housing laws
Completes assigned tasks and projects as directed by the Assistant Portfolio Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
Sufficient verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Ability to work well independently and in teams

EDUCATION/TRAINING or EXPERIENCE:
Five years of general maintenance experience (Required)
Painting experience preferred
Must be able to do after-hours on call work
License/Certification:
Driver's License (Required)

Bellingham, WA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
Work Location: In person
COMPENSATION:
$30-32/hour depending on experience
