Growing clinic is seeking an experienced part-time technician/assistant; 2-3 days per week. We are looking for someone flexible, who is able to work weekends and to cover shifts of coworkers out sick or on vacation. Schedule will be Friday and Saturday with the chance of more hours.
Somebody who is team oriented, dedicated, efficient and compassionate are the key traits we're looking for. Our patients are our number one priority, however we are also needing someone who can communicate effectively and compassionately with our clients.
Job duties include:
-Medicating, restraining and vaccinating patients
-Assisting the doctor in exams and surgeries
-Cleaning up after exams, surgeries and patient messes
-Discharging patients
-Refilling and distributing medications
-Obtaining and running blood, fecal and urine samples
-Communicating between clients, pharmacies, doctors and other staff members
Applicants do not need to be Licensed Veterinary Technicians or Certified Veterinary Assistants, but we would like someone who has experience and/or exposure to the veterinary world.
