The Plants Maintenance Technician series performs progressively responsible multi-discipline preventive, corrective, rebuild, upgrade, and special project maintenance for complex plant process systems, equipment, and facilities at the water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, lift stations, reservoirs, and other facilities. Examples of duties include performing troubleshooting, preventive, corrective, and special project maintenance on industrial electrical, electronic, electrical generating and distribution, electronic process control instrumentation, distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers (PLC), remote telemetry units, HVAC, mechanical pumping equipment, high horsepower motors, compressors, heavy industrial process machinery, piping, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

Placement into the Plants Maintenance Technician Series is based on the required experience and training requirements. City approved CEU's are required to advance from In-Training status and throughout the series as outlined in the job classification requirements below.

Salary Rates:

Plants Maintenance Technician In Training: Starting hourly rate- $27.24. Current full range- $27.24 - $33.30/hour.

Plants Maintenance Technician 1: Starting hourly rate- $30.54. Current full range- $30.54 - $37.39/hour.

Plants Maintenance Technician 2: Starting hourly rate- $34.20. Current full range- $34.20 - $41.87/hour.

Plants Maintenance Technician 3: Starting hourly rate- $38.36. Current full range- $38.36 - $46.99/hour.

For internal candidates, placement within the range is based on City Pay Placement Procedures.
