We are hiring a full-time Taproom/Brew Hall Manager to oversee onsite retail operations at the brewery. We are seeking a candidate that is motivated, trustworthy, hardworking, flexible, and comfortable taking initiative. The right candidate possesses a passion for beer, a positive upbeat attitude, and the ability to communicate professionally to both customers and staff. Because of the high level of customer interaction, the manager will first, and foremost, be an ambassador for our brewery and our culture. This position will include four scheduled serving shifts weekly plus structured operational hours as needed.
The position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Provide exceptional customer service and experience for taproom customers
Lead, manage, and motivate staff during day-to-day operations
Train staff on all Wander Brewing policies and procedures
Handle weekly scheduling of Brew Hall staff
Encourage staff development by working with production team on beer education
Maintain procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and healthy workspace
Manage inventory and ordering of all Brew Hall supplies
Organize and maintain inventory of Wander Brewing merchandise
Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of the Brew Hall
Assist with planning and coordinating Brew Hall events
Maintain relationships with food truck partners
Address employee and customer concerns in a timely, professional, and caring manner
Ensure that both customers and employees feel welcome in our space by nurturing a positive working environment
Manage and upkeep POS item entry and inventory
Qualifications:
Available to work full-time (34-40 hours/week) with night and weekend availability required. Set schedule will always allow for 2 days off in a row.
1 year of brewery, taproom, bar, or restaurant leadership experience
Team oriented, flexible, and can work independently
Strong decision-making ability and sense of responsibility
Positive attitude and ability to communicate clearly, with professionalism and enthusiasm
Knowledge of and interest in the craft beer industry
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
A passion for every customer to have an enjoyable visit
Excellent organizational skills and exceptional customer service skills
Ability to work on a team and contribute to a positive work environment
Compensation:
This is an hourly position with wage starting at $21/hour plus tips
