Position Summary:

The Chrysalis Inn and Spa is seeking a positive, energetic leader to join our team. We would like a creative individual with an excellent knowledge of plate presentation with a focus on fresh Pacific NW cuisine. Interested individuals should send their resume. Supervision Received:

Supervision is received from the Executive Chef

Essential Functions:

Prepares weekly staffing schedule using scheduling tool.

Maintains product inventory levels for kitchen.

Maintains good service times.

Maintains a schedule of cleaning projects for cooks.

Maintains a professional relationship with all co-workers.

Prepares meat/fish/poultry to butcher.

Performs the coding and logging of all kitchen invoices.

Assists in maintaining budgeted labor and food costs.

Ensures a safe working environment for kitchen staff.

Creates and delegates prep list.

Creates daily specials when necessary.

Creates special menus and costing of the menus when necessary.

Maintains a clean and safe work area.

Complies with all policies and procedures set forth by the Chrysalis Inn and Spa Employee Handbook.

Cooks on the line as needed to cover cooks days off and labor reduction

Secondary Functions:

Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Position requires minimum of two years culinary experience and ability to pass a limited background check. Other requirements include:

Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Food Handler’s Card.

Ability to stand and/or walk for entire shift.

Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.

Ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to read and follow both verbal and written instructions.

Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.

Ability to work Banquet functions.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
