Larrabee Lager Company is looking for a dedicated and organized cook who is passionate about pizza and working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Title: Prep and Line Cook

Salary: $18.66/hr

Tip Income: Yes ($9-$14/hr average)

Discounts: Food, beer, and merchandise

Schedule: Part-Time (15+ hours to start with possibility for more hours.)

Start Date: Immediately

THIS POSITION INCLUDES ALL ASPECTS OF THE KITCHEN FROM MAKING DOUGH, PREPPING INGREDIENTS AND WORKING LINE DURING SERVICE.

PREP DUTIES:

Manage pizza dough:

Make scratch pizza dough on a daily basis

Manage daily inventory levels and make dough according to daily sales requirements

Make beer cheese, cream cheese frosting, Spanish peanuts and hummus according to established recipes

Portion pizza toppings and prepare fresh salad ingredients

Position requires measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other kitchen and food prep related equipment

Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls.

Receive, confirm and restock weekly ingredient deliveries

Clean and restock workstations to ensure all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift

Small amount of time on the line may be necessary if solo line cook needs back up during a rush.

LINE DUTIES:

-Preparing pizza sauces, and various toppings, such as tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and meats.

-Serves meals by reviewing recipes; assembling, combining, and cooking ingredients; and maintaining a sanitary kitchen.

-Attention to detail and quality presentation of each order.

-Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.

-Stores leftovers according to established standards.

-Ensures smooth operation of kitchen services during absence of supervisor and prepares kitchen for shift change.

-Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas.

-Completes cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules and dishwashing/pot washing as needed.

-Listens to customer complaints and suggestions and resolves complaints

-Monitoring the temperature of the pizza ovens as well as cooking times.

-Monitoring inventory and placing orders for more supplies as needed.

-Disposing of expired or spoiled ingredients at the end of each shift.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

-Previous line cook and kitchen experience required

-Pizza-making experience not required but strongly preferred

-Current food handler’s card and other certification as required by federal/state/local law

-Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

-Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds.

-Working knowledge of proper food handling procedures.

-The ability to follow standardized recipes.

-The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

-The ability to work in a team.

-Passion for making, eating and dreaming pizza is a must!
