Storia Cucina Italian restaurant is hiring a FOH manager. We are a casual Italian restaurant and bar in Bellingham, WA. Looking for someone who wants to join the team and lead the front of the house. Our focus is on simple, well-executed food and beverages in a space where we provide the best service and hospitality. As a team, we are a tight-knit family and take pride in our work.
The FOH manager is a very important position reporting to the Owner. The FOH manager is responsible for directing the operations of the team on the floor, working with the bar manager and chef de cuisine. Maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, service, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in partnership with the other managers.
The role promises optimal opportunity for growth, competitive wages, and the availability to grow with the company run by a professional chef/restaurateur.
Storia Cucina FOH manager responsibilities/ Requirements:
Scheduling/ Hiring and Training
Maintain standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and food/drink presentation, communication on the floor.
Updating POS and menu changes.
Facilitate quick and efficient communication between front and back-of-house.
Be a lead server on the floor, constantly communicate the standards to the team, and lead by example.
Daily operations and improvements/ labor.
Take initiative on things to create improvements.
Booking large parties/ reservations.
Lead team meetings.
Reliable and flexible under pressure.
Consistently respectful and mindful of our objectives for service and quality.
Excellent communication skills.
Bartending skills are a huge plus but not required.
Proficiency or adeptness at using Google Drive for documents and spreadsheets.
Must be able to work on feet for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50lbs - or ask for support
