Roe is a neighborhood restaurant on the corner of Unity and Flora - opening in Bellingham’s Arts District this October. We are a fine-causal concept serving simple, seasonal, high quality American food inspired by the cooking and flavors of France, Italy, and Spain.
We are looking for a motivated person to take on Bar management duties and some light overall FOH management as well.

You should have the ability to lead by example, an eye for detail, excellent listening and communication skills, and be motivated to cultivate a supportive, creative, and fun working environment. Managing the FOH staff (less than 10 people), their schedules and performance will be a piece of your daily duties.
You will be expected to ensure overall smooth operation of the floor during service. The position includes at least 3 bartending shifts per week, as well as filling in wherever needed during a shift, including but not limited to bartending, food running, hosting, etc.

Your duties will include:
Developing & maintaining bar program (Including beer, wine and cocktail programs) - we are cocktail/wine focused.
Managing FOH Staff.
Scheduling FOH.
Training.
Inventory and ordering management.
Managing cost control and assisting in budgeting the bar.
Developing and maintaining SOPs for FOH service.
Ensuring opening and closing duties consistently followed.
Update POS system as needed.
Develop staff knowledge on beer, wine & cocktails.
Hiring and assisting with disciplinary action.
Continuously strive to showcase the restaurant, the bar program and our high standards.
Ongoing development of restaurant operations/uphold restaurant vision.
Guest relations, table touches and cultivating relationships with customers into regulars and community involvement.
Qualifications:
1 year management
2 years bartending
Experience developing bar programs and cocktail lists is a big plus.
Health/Dental insurance is provided after 90 days.
