I received a wonderful and overwhelming amount of responses, so although I haven't filled the position, you may not hear back. :)
What is an Adventure Caregiver, you may ask? My son is a non-speaking 31 year old autistic man looking for a buddy. He loves going on adventures and I would love to pay you to go on adventures with him. Must be able to drive and have auto insurance, we can supply a car or we'll pay for mileage. He loves cycling, going to the beach, riding WSDOT ferries, hanging out in Seattle, going to water parks and pools and is generally cooperative and super fun to be with. You can check him out on my Tiktok/Instagram page @Betsyonthego. Looking for 10-30 hours a week. Very flexible with schedule. Who would be perfect for this job? Someone who has lots of energy and loves to explore! MUST be able to cycle. We can loan you an electric bike if you're not fast, but should be good with navigating and familiar with paths. Should have ability to read maps and navigate trails (I have loads of his favorite cycling trails recorded). He can have meltdowns and the individual needs to be able to stay calm in these rare situations. They usually pass quickly (5 minutes) and he will not attack or be aggressive, he will hit himself. He is on a strict diet so his meals will be provided each day, so you'll need to pack your own lunch. I'll provide for all entry tickets, gas, etc. I don't need experience with autism as much as I need someone with a big heart. Someone who wants the job not just for the money, but because they love making a difference in someone's life.
