DescriptionThe North America Sort Center network is experiencing explosive growth and looking for a highly skilled, motivated and experienced Sr Program Manager with a strong delivery record and leadership experience to join our Network planning and Forecasting Team.The Sort centers is the critical middle mile solution in the Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) group that links the fulfillment centers to the last mile/customers. The experience of our customers is dependent upon our ability to accurately, timely, and efficiently sort and deliver packages across North America.The successful candidate will have strong quantitative and analytical skills and is comfortable facilitating ideation and working from concept through to execution. This position will partner with with Engineering, Field Operations, Global Transportation, Last Mile Delivery, Topology, Finance and Technology teams to develop strategic long, medium and short term plans, obtain stakeholder buy-ins, determine root cause of operational challenges, drive process improvements, build KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and metrics, un-earth opportunities and present findings and recommendations to business partners and management.A qualified candidate must be self-motivated and have demonstrated ability to manage medium to large-scale projects that are innovative or complex and at the same time delivered as quickly, accurately, and as cost effectively as possible. In addition, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, strong focus on internal and external customers, high intellectual curiosity to learn new concepts and methodologies and ability to adapt and thrive in this fast-paced, high change environment.Key job responsibilities Supply chain, transportation, or logistic network management solution experience Manage and oversee various cross-functional programs, ensuring successful delivery. Develop and refine program strategies, effectively leading and motivating teams. Set clear objectives for programs, leveraging data analytics to drive improvements and achieve metrics. Navigate and resolve ambiguities in business scenarios, applying creative problem-solving skills. Foster collaboration with internal and external partners to optimize resource allocation and project success. Evaluate and prioritize projects in conjunction with customer needs and technical team inputs. Bridge gaps in team dynamics, processes, and systems, preventing common project pitfalls. Identify and mitigate risks, preventing them from escalating into major issues. Regularly communicate with senior managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to support key business initiatives. Develop, implement, and oversee KPI reporting for a program portfolio, ensuring clear visibility of milestones and project performance. Manage and communicate project budgets effectively.Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation Logistics, or related field

5+ years of program or project management experience

5+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

5+ years of driving process improvements experience

Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Experience of Six Sigma/Lean analytical techniques

Experience in supply chain, operations or planning

The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market.
