Our aim isn’t just about improving buildings; it’s about creating perfect places that improve people’s lives.The Energy Engineer conducts facility site visits, analyzes the customer’s current situation, and produces plans for Facility Improvement Measures (FIMs) addressing corrections or changes to their HVAC, process, lighting, and controls systems. This position also assists sales and operations in the development and execution of energy services agreements and projects. Our aim isn’t just about improving buildings, it’s about creating perfect places that improve people’s lives.As an Energy Engineer, you will:Early Professional:

Perform preliminary ASHRAE facility audits, investigating the HVAC, lighting, process, and controls systems to identify Facility Improvement Measures (FIMs) and opportunities.

Assist with existing building commissioning of the customers’ facility.

Analyze blueprints and data from the automation system to determine facility operational characteristics.

Perform data analysis using Siemens Smart Building software to determine deficiencies, recommendations, and energy savings as part of a service agreement, project, or development opportunity.

Perform industry-standard energy calculations (such as weather-based BIN calculations) and develop design concepts and schematics concerning recommended FIMs, including the scope of work descriptions, sequences of operations, code deficiency evaluations, savings potential, cost estimates, utility incentives, and data to verify FIMs.

Assist sales in the identification and qualification of energy services agreements and projects, as well as participates in client meetings and presentations.

Effectively communicates findings for operational and efficiency improvements to internal and external stakeholders.

Assist customers with guidance to obtain utility incentives and other public funds as applicable.

Prepare financial models, including Return on Investment (ROI), life cycle costs, simple payback, and internal rate of return, as necessary.

Assist customers with the City of Seattle Building Tune-Up certification.

Midlevel:

Perform and supervise preliminary and detailed ASHRAE facility audits, investigating HVAC, lighting, process, and controls systems to identify Facility Improvement Measures (FIMs) and opportunities.

Perform and lead existing building commissioning of the customers’ facility.

Analyze blueprints and data to identify HVAC, lighting, process, and control systems operational characteristics and apply building energy simulation programs to develop energy, cooling, and heating load-building models using modeling software.

Perform data analysis using Siemens Smart Building software to determine deficiencies, recommendations, and energy savings as part of a service agreement, project, or development opportunity.

Perform industry-standard energy calculations (such as weather-based BIN calculations) and develop design concepts and schematics concerning recommended FIMs, including the scope of work descriptions, sequences of operations, code deficiency evaluations, savings potential, cost estimates, utility incentives, and data to verify FIMs.

Assist sales in identifying and technically qualifying customer opportunities for energy efficiency and work with Siemens operations teams and outside vendors as it pertains to developing FIMs.

Assist sales in the identification and qualification of energy services agreements and projects, as well as participates in client meetings and presentations.

Effectively communicates findings for operational and efficiency improvements to internal and external stakeholders.

Prepare financial models, including Return on Investment (ROI), life cycle costs, simple payback, and internal rate of return, as necessary.

Assist customers with the City of Seattle Building Tune-Up certification.

You will make in impact with these qualifications:Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or related technical field (Mechanical Engineering preferred)

Verbal and written communication skills in English

Proficient in Microsoft Office

FE/EIT certification preferred

Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

Midlevel Preferred Qualifications:

Commissioning Professional Certification

Energy Manager or Professional Engineer certifications

3+ Years of experience with Energy industry experiences supporting performance-based projects or energy services
