This position is responsible for new and existing product support related to regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized team player with excellent communication skills and good business acumen. The candidate will have a strong understanding of the regulatory compliance schemes and the process required to specify, test, qualify, document and maintain certifications related to automatic and autonomous guided vehicle Product Safety, Machine Safety, and Functional Safety compliance for domestic and international markets.Job Responsibilities:

Work on a cross functional team to perform and complete Safety & Compliance requirements for equipment/product design

Interpret and apply regulations, standards, and Amazon requirements to new technologies/products

Experience reviewing equipment, including conveyance and machinery for proper guarding, interlocks, and safety features

Provide Safety & Compliance input during the product scoping to identify any concerns for operators interacting with the equipment

Evaluate and review schematics and drawings and provide Safety & Compliance input during product development/early design

Leverage Support processes, systems and tools to resolve safety related technical problems

Track issues through resolution phase, engaging technical subject matter experts and other stakeholders

Manage, prioritize, and respond to the MSP team's concerns

Provide technical guidance to Fulfillment Center (FC) Operations NA & EU Safety and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot operational challenges

Provide prompt, efficient, detailed, customer-oriented service to our internal Amazon Customer

Create and maintain problem resolution procedures and identify need for new tools to support existing solutions

Work with Engineering, Global Support and Amazon EHS teams to understand safety issues and solution options

Provide all stakeholders with the information required for decision-making

Compile data to facilitate analysis by the Safety team

Conduct internal meetings and be the voice of customer safety, including Design Reviews, Solutions layouts, and Risk Assessments

Conduct external Risk Assessment, Design Reviews, Factory/Site Acceptance testing and launch support

Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent

Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production

Experience with the project management of technical projects

The base pay for this position ranges from $114,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market.
