Program Manager, Relay Operations Center Tech and Ops Integration

DescriptionAmazon Relay Operations Team is looking for a Program Manager to own strategic, tactical, cross-functional projects and programs, as part of the tech and ops integration team. In this role, the candidate will be scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, supporting tech initiatives coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/tech changes. Project management, cross-team coordination, and process improvement are essential functions of the role.Key job responsibilities

Manage new and existing programs, successfully delivering difficult projects and goals across multiple organizations

Identify process improvement opportunities and work directly with internal customers and partner teams to craft and deliver scalable solutions

Partner with other program managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones and drive delivery

Provide support to other program managers to strengthen the organization's commitment to project management

Plan, track, and report on outputs and outcomes for assigned initiatives

Own program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating as appropriate

Develop, implement, and govern Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects and using this data to drive/influence business decisions

Demonstrated experience leveraging project management skills on complex, cross-functional initiatives

Understanding of Middle Mile operations

Ability to get to root cause of issues to enable effective problem-solving

A day in the lifeThe Relay Operations Center (ROC) Tech Team is dedicated to the development of technology that advances efficiency and elevates operational standards of the Relay Operations Center. To that end, we act as liaison between MMPT (Middle Mile Product Team) and ROC Ops teams, to ensure that feature development aligns with customer needs and operations' priorities at global scale. The key objective of the ROC Tech Team is that all ROC Teams should be supported on the Disruption Management (DM) platform, and that operations should be integrated with DM and Relay technology to the extent that enables ROC to grow as a global organization with geographically agnostic team structures.About the teamThe Relay Operations Center is a world-class command and control center capable of detecting and solving linehaul-related disruptions before they ever impact our customers, shippers, carriers, drivers, or our cost structure. ROC scope includes delayed load tracking, tour disruptions, capacity recovery, equipment management, and severe events.Basic Qualifications

3+ years of program or project management experience

3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

3+ years of driving process improvements experience

Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Transportation and/or fleet management experience
