Payroll Accountant

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Accountant in Bellevue, Washington. The role will be situated within the accounting industry, where the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and auditing payroll records, processing transactions, and working collaboratively with various divisions. Responsibilities: Undertake the maintenance of employee payroll records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Process manual, non-standard or correction transactions and audit pay output. Actively research and reconcile any discrepancies that arise in payroll data. Develop and maintain professional relationships with various divisions including Human Resources, Accounting, and Benefits. Ensure diligent, quality, and timely work results to build a personal reputation for trustworthiness. Manage off-cycle payroll runs and input necessary information accurately. Assist with the month-end payroll accounting close, including creating journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts. Conduct audits on payroll personnel files for compliance with company policy, procedures, and authorizations. Handle specialist payments such as bonuses and referral bonuses whenever necessary. Address and resolve check issues, including the creation of manual checks when required. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now Knowledge of Ceridian software Ability to use Concur Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration Proficiency in About Time software Knowledge of various Accounting Functions Understanding of Accrual Accounting Experience in Auditing is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
