Qualifications:
1-3 years or more of experience working as a line cook in a professional high volume kitchen
High familiarity with kitchen equipment, processes, and health and safety guidelines
Able to delegate tasks effectively and assist when needed
Adaptable to high traffic and kitchen volume
ServSafe Certification preferred
Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: preparing food to the highest standard, ensuring that dishes are consistent and cooked to the right level.
Inventory Management: assists the chef/sous chef with inventory and food delivery when needed
Training - helps with station training as needed
Sanitation and Safety: ensures that the kitchen is clean and follows sanitation and safety guidelines.
Quality Control: ensures that all dishes meet the restaurant's quality standards, and that they are served correctly.
Communication: communicates effectively with other kitchen staff, as well as front-of-house staff, to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
