Basic Purpose To manage a team of architects and staff that provide end-to-end architecture governance support to align the landscape of technology components with the strategic business needs of the enterprise. Provide overarching guidance and decision-making authority to continually improve governance processes, establish enterprise standards, and manage the architectural direction typically arising from program or project work. Partner with other groups including Solutions Architecture, Enterprise Security Architecture, Portfolio Management, and other related functions to coordinate and ensure architecture governance services are addressing their needs. Provide day-to-day administrative and managerial support to the team with respect to training, resource allocation, timekeeping, and performance reviews.

Responsibilities:• Manage a team of Enterprise Architects who provide architecture governance and enterprise standards support.• Assume the role of an Architecture Governance Chair where applicable.• Oversee the weekly backlog of architecture reviews, prioritizing and deconflicting when needed.• Monitor and track communications and action items based on decisions made through the governance process.• Participate and provide input to newly developed and revised enterprise standards.• Lead, guide, coach, and provide training and development opportunities for the team.• Develop and define clear core work definitions, process flows and operating models for architecture governance services.• Bring external perspectives and ideas from relevant sources, and keep current with technology, government/policy impacts and industry best practices.• Evaluate the performance and statistics of architecture governance services to customers, including defining and tracking KPIs and SLAs to ensure service levels are in line with expectations.• Perform benchmarking and trend analysis to incorporate continuous improvement or defined enhancements to architecture governance services.• Develop and manage workforce strategy, resource plans (skills, competencies, team size) and budget for architecture governance services.• Build and maintain relationships with team members, management, business and IT stakeholders, platform domain owners, and external contacts (vendors, etc.).• Provide constructive and actionable feedback to Enterprise Architects, based on performance.• Ensure compliance with any related Navy Federal or IT standards, practices and processes.• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - All required unless otherwise noted:• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience• Experience utilizing various development and operations frameworks including Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/or Scaled Agile methodologies• Experience leading or serving as a key voting member for an Architecture Governance Board• Experience in leading, guiding and coaching professional staff• Experience in resource allocation and management• Expert level research, analytical, and problem-solving skills• Advanced verbal and written communication skills and visual presentation skills• Experience working with all levels of staff, management and vendors, including communicating with executive leadership• Advanced relationship building, negotiation and facilitation skills

Desired: • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field• Familiarity with Navy Federal functions, philosophy, operations and organizational objectives• Familiarity with banking and financial industry standards and practices• Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Azure technologies• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance-related mandates such as CCPA and GDPR• Relevant certifications including TOGAF 9, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Project Management Professional (PMP), COBIT5, etc.

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report onsite 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting onsite will ultimately be determined by the employee's leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and onboarding process.

Salary: Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remaincompetitive. You are paid within the salary range, based on your experience, location and market position.

The salary range for this position is: $109,900 to $206,800 Annual Salary
