Leidos is actively interviewing for a TMPC Fleet Operations Engineer to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will be a member of the Fleet Operations development team, but expected to work independently and in accordance with published schedules. Extensive liaison with Fleet and other government / contractor personnel to solicit input and review the status of the system processes, operational procedures, and deficiencies will be required.

Candidate must have a strong background in Tomahawk Command and Control (C2), to include a strong working knowledge of joint and fleet operational TLAM Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) supporting TWS/TMPC operations and systems ashore and afloat.

Candidate must be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Mission Distribution System (MDS) operational employment processes and procedures with a strong background in Tomahawk Strike Planning and execution.

Candidate must have extensive experience and knowledge in Tomahawk Strike Warfare Operations, a thorough knowledge of all related Tomahawk Strike reference documents, operational and technical experience with MDS, TCOMMs, TSN, UHF Communication circuits, and TCP/IP systems.

Recent knowledge of Tomahawk operational workflows is required.

Candidate will be required to travel domestically and internationally on a quarterly basis.

The candidate evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analysis for total systems. These duties include performing system requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management and integration. The candidate works to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on the area/project team and works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments.

The candidate may assist other technical staff with tasks and assignments. The candidate will communicate with colleagues across multiple areas (project managers, other technical resources, etc.). Explains technical solutions, practices and procedures to others within the organization.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor Degree in relevant field with 4 years of experience. Additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree. A Master's Degree with 2 years of experience can also be considered.

Subject Matter Expert in the operation, management, and maintenance of TMPC communication networks, to include TCOMMS and TSN.

Experience in Tomahawk Command and Control to include knowledge of joint and fleet operational TLAM Tactic, Techniques and Procedures supporting TWS/TMPC operations and systems.

Active TS/SCI clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Recent knowledge of TSMPC operational workflows.
