Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team in the remodeling industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and a passion for delivering high-quality craftsmanship. As a Lead Carpenter, you will oversee projects, manage a team of carpenters, and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards. Your expertise in construction estimating, installation, and remodeling will be vital to the success of our projects.

Duties

Supervise and organize a team of carpenters on a construction site

Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to plan and execute projects

Build, install, and repair structures made of wood, such as walls, floors, and roofs

Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials

Plan and manage the schedule and budget for a project, including ordering and tracking materials and equipment

Ensure that work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards

Communicate effectively with clients, architects, and other contractors to ensure that projects meet their needs and expectations

Train and mentor apprentices and other carpenters to develop their skills and knowledge

Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness on the construction site

Qualifications

Proven experience as a carpenter with expertise in frame carpentry, plaster installation, and tile laying, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, installation of various flooring. Minor plumbing and electrical experience

Strong knowledge of the remodeling processes.

Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.

Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams effectively.

Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks on-site.

Valid driver's license required for travel between job sites.

Combination of education and experience.

High school diploma or equivalent qualification

Possess good communication and problem-solving skills.

Several years of experience working in the construction industry, preferably in a supervisory capacity.

Knowledge of building codes and regulations, as well as proficiency in various tools and techniques used in carpentry.

Both technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the field of construction
