Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-Time Cook to join our team, Monday - Friday 6am-2pm. This full time position is ideal for someone who loves to cook but is looking to move away from the high-stress environment of restaurant kitchens and no weekends! As a cook for our non-profit, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and youth by preparing healthy, tasty meals.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals according to our established recipes and nutritional USDA guidelines.
Ensure all meals are prepared on time and in accordance with daily schedules.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
Collaborate with other team members and our Culinary Director to plan and develop new recipes and menus.
Requirements:
Culinary experience is required; a culinary degree is a plus.
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for cooking and making a positive impact in the community.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
