Job Description:
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, system architecture overviews, troubleshooting guides, and internal process documentation.
Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and support teams to ensure accuracy and clarity in technical content.
Implement AI-assisted content generation, automation, and quality assurance processes to improve documentation efficiency and effectiveness.
Identify opportunities for AI-driven content personalization, knowledge retrieval, and interactive documentation to improve user experience.
Contribute to DXC’s knowledge management strategy by ensuring documentation is well-organized, searchable, and structured for long-term usability.
Gather feedback from stakeholders and end-users to continuously improve documentation quality and relevance.
Train and mentor team members on best practices for technical writing and AI-driven documentation methodologies.
Serve as a subject matter expert for documentation organization and workflow initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably within the IT infrastructure, cloud computing, or enterprise software industries.
Strong understanding of documentation frameworks, structured authoring, and content management systems (CMS).
Experience with AI-powered content creation, natural language processing (NLP), or automation tools for documentation enhancement.
Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft 365, or similar platforms.
Ability to interpret complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with AI-driven knowledge bases, chatbots, or documentation automation tools.
Familiarity with cloud computing, cybersecurity, and modern workplace technologies.
Experience collaborating with UX designers, developers, and product managers to create user-centric documentation.
Experience defining and executing documentation strategies for large organizations.
Experience refactoring and consolidating content management systems.
Excellent project management skills
Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $73,100 - $135,700.Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
