job detailsjob summary:A Quality Engineer Specialist is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the Radford, VA area. This position performs quality activities on assigned complex and difficult projects/programs and/or functional area(s) to ensure that products or services provided are in accordance with customer and our quality requirements.location: Radford, Virginiajob type: Contractsalary: $46.35 - 81.11 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:
Develop procedures and collect/report data.
Provide Quality Systems training.
Handles qualification audits of suppliers of purchased items and services.
Assures audited activities meet our quality program, and Client quality requirements.
Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
Promotes safety awareness including adhering to safety rules and requirements.
Participates, as needed, in safety field audits and assessments.
Verifies that ours and our customers' quality requirements are in compliance with quality standards and quality program requirements for products and services provided.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or Quality discipline or related field (or equivalent work experience) and
Typically 8+ years of related work experience in the field of Quality.
Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or equal) , ASQ Certification (CMQ/OE, CQA, CQE) or other related certifications.
