Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a qualified Communications Network Engineer to join a government team providing mission support to the United States Marine Corps in Quantico, VA . The Communications Network Engineer will be responsible for the planning and design of emerging technologies for the future state of the Marine Corps Enterprise Network. Responsibilities of the Communications Network Engineer include:
- Oversees network control center
- Ensuring network reliability for Systems Command including (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Evaluates communication of hardware/software, troubleshoots LAN/MAN/WAN and other network issues
- Provide design solutions and operational support for the (MARFORCYBER, MCEN)
- Write, review and validate high level development of design documents
- 10+ years of related experience
- Ability to take lead role for networking in lab environment
- Ideal candidate has either a Marine or Navy background
- Tier 3 support experience with Network or Admin Engineering
- Must have active DoD Secret security clearance
- Must have or be able to obtain IAT Certification (CCNA, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP)
- Salary Range: $80K-100K depending on experience
