Asphalt Screed Operator (Jackman)

Experienced Jackman to operate the jack manually on an asphalt paver to adjust asphalt mat thickness and slope to finished grade on roadway or parking lots. Must also be able to perform other tasks associated with asphalt grading and paving. May use tools such as shovel, rake, lute, broom, etc. Must have good vision to see controls and to identify problems ahead of the paver. Must be able to stand, walk, stretch, bend, lift 50 pounds, pull, twist, throw, reach and squat. On occasion may be required to stand/walk 12 -15 hours. Must have valid driver license or Virginia ID card and be able to obtain access to government bases/installations. Must be a reliable and trustworthy team player and maintain good attendance and safety record. Must abide by strict but necessary safety rules and policies. Uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment are provided.
