- Technical Assistance– Respond rapidly to customer issues via email, telephone, and personal visit. Troubleshoot and develop technical solutions to software and setup errors. Create workaround procedures when standard procedures have failed and ensure issues are resolved in a timely fashion. Escalate urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge/technical access to appropriate internal resources in a timely manner. Document all issues.
- Software Support– Manage the installation and support for the SHARP application in laptop and server-based environments.
- User Training– Deliver recurring, classroom-style training as well as informal, on-the-spot training to end users regarding configuration, operation, and data analysis of SHARP as well as its contribution to Training Readiness within the NRRE. Develop and maintain all required training material.
- Requirements Management– Follow strict Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) processes for requirements management. New employees will be given an opportunity to learn the process tools Innova employs to ensure traceability of fleet requirements.
- Dataflow Monitoring- Acts as operational analyst for SHARP usage; monitors fleet inputs and usage, looks for shortfalls or anomalies and works with Fleet, CNAP/CNAL N40 and Innova to correct as necessary.
- Travel– Moderate travel anticipated. Participate in training and program-related conferences as appropriate. May involve travel to deployed units afloat or ashore to provide support services on-site.
- Active DoD-issued, secret-level security clearance
- Bachelor's degree with four years of related work experience or, eight years of related experience in field of military aviation (maintenance or operations) in lieu of a four-year degree.
- Comprehensive background in Naval Aviation and squadron operations with an in-depth knowledge of operations/maintenance data systems.
- Extensive knowledge of SHARP 7.0 and/or T-SHARP with experience operating the system.
- Strong ability to review software application feature requirements and evaluate potential solutions.
- Firm grasp and understanding of the data flow from the entry point in the squadron, able to analyze the flow and accuracy of Training Progression data.
- High comfort level with Microsoft Windows and Office products. Experience with relational databases and SQL is preferred. Working knowledge of Internet Information Services (IIS) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a remote team environment to provide mission-critical services and to solve complex technical problems.
- Excellent speaking and writing skills necessary to develop and deliver (in person, video conference, telephone, etc.) tailored training materials to local/remote users.
- Ability to provide advanced analytical services.
- Must be able to help squadron personnel understand current readiness stature and identify strategies to maximize readiness.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Must be able to establish priorities, organize tasks, and direct effective implementation of tasks in a demanding work environment.
- Physically able to navigate passageways and steep ladders aboard naval vessels and be able to fly on/off naval vessels at sea in various military helicopters and fixed wing aircraft
- Experience preparing and delivering formal briefs to junior and senior officers extremely beneficial.
- Technical certifications a plus but not required (e.g., Microsoft Azure or other Cloud certifications).
