Business Development & Program Coordinator
Location: Norfolk, VA
Company: MariCore, LLC
About MariCore
MariCore is a specialty subcontractor supporting Navy shipyards in Norfolk, San Diego, and beyond. We are known for precision waveguide (metal conduit) installation and repair. Our 3D scanning + CAD workflow allows us to deliver “first-time-right” precise tubing layout for high-value repairs where others struggle.
We are seeking a Business Development & Program Coordinator to help us grow our pipeline and keep our customers engaged.
You’ll be the bridge between primes, program opportunities, and our technical team — ensuring MariCore is in front of the right people at the right time.
The bottom line is we need more sales, are you the right person to make that happen?
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline & Opportunity Management
Track radar/communications programs and upcoming ship availabilities.
Monitor SAM.gov notices and NAVSEA forecasts for relevant opportunities.
Maintain a sales pipeline in CRM (Monday.com) — opportunities, quotes, follow-ups, wins/losses.
Customer Engagement & Growth
Be the first point of contact for customer inquiries; qualify opportunities before routing to the Owner.
Schedule customer touchpoints and quarterly capability updates with primes (BAE, VT Group, Decision Tech, etc.).
Proactively follow up on outstanding quotes and repair inquiries — ensure no opportunity goes cold.
Build and maintain relationships with ship repair program managers and contracts staff.
Sales & Proposal Support
Draft quotes/proposals (labor, materials, scope) and coordinate with engineering/technicians for estimates.
Drive the RFQ/RFP response process — make sure deadlines are tracked and submissions are on time.
Prepare revenue forecasts and hit-rate reports for leadership.
Reporting & Analysis
Generate monthly pipeline reports: booked work, pending quotes, new opportunities.
Track customer win rates by prime/program to identify where to focus efforts.
Qualifications
3+ years experience in program support, sales coordination, or contracts administration (GovCon, ship repair, defense services, or industrial trades).
Familiarity with the Navy ship repair environment strongly preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills — able to handle multiple programs and deadlines.
Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Monday.com), MS Excel, and government opportunity platforms (SAM.gov).
Self-starter who can work independently and drive progress without constant oversight.
Compensation & Incentives
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000
Performance Bonus: I.e. $5k at $1M in new bookings, $10k+ at $2M+ (revenue-driven)
Full benefits package: 401(k) with 4% match, health/dental/vision, paid holidays, 2 weeks PTO
