THE leading, fast-growing, commercial door, frame, and hardware distributor is looking for motivated detailers to help us build the skyline in southeastern Virginia. Position Summary / Expectations:

Coordinating submittals for approval, reviewing and correcting approved submittals, and submitting orders to manufacturer for fabrication.

Working with suppliers and vendors for product information, lead-times, and shipping details.

Solving complex issues that may arise in a timely manner.

Proficient communication skills with timely follow-up.

Construction document management: contracts, submittals, transmittals, change orders, sales orders, request for proposals, requests for information and close out documents.

Experience and familiarity with construction drawings & specifications is preferred but is not required.

Candidates must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills as well as a proven track record of consistently meeting project deadlines and logistical requirements to exceed customer expectations.

Successful candidates will have:

At least 2 years of hands-on detailing and/or project management experience, in any industry (we will train!)

Ability to expedite complex projects and complete multiple assignments within time constraints.

Professional level writing skills appropriate for correspondence, reports, and responses to various customers.

Strong computer skills and ability to work effectively with Microsoft Office

Ability to pass a drug test

Preferred candidates will have:

Experience with commercial doors, frames, and hardware

Bachelor's degree with at least 1+ years of previous experience in the construction industry is preferred.

Understanding of building systems, design, construction, and related management strategies.

Experience working effectively with NAV and ProTech software, or comparable ERP and estimating software.

Experience and familiarity reading construction drawings & specifications

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
