The SME shall provide Onboard Maintenance Training (OBMT) to Ship's Force technicians in the operation, repair, maintenance, and logistics support of the MK 45 5-Inch Gun System.The SME shall perform/provide support during shipboard Combat Systems tasks including Pier Side Refurbishments, ICMP, TSRA, INSURV programs and Tech Assist events.General Experience: At least (8) years of experience within the last 15 years in operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and assessment of MK 45 5-Inch Gun System found onboard US Navy ships.Specialized Experience: SME shall possess 5”/54 and/or 5”/62 Mk 45 Gun Mount systems Navy Class “C” school NEC 0879/0880, with a minimum of (4) years full-time technical experience within the last 10 years, in troubleshooting and repair of equipment within the scope of this NEC.GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:● 401K with company match● Comprehensive health and wellness packages● Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career● Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications● Cutting-edge technology you can learn from● Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidaysThe likely hourly rate for this position is between $31.87 - $43.13. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
