Apex Systems, the nation's second largest IT Staffing Agency, is looking for a Senior Integration and Test Engineer to support one of our Government Clients in Alexandria, VA.If interested in this, please send resume and contact information to Tessa Moulds, Government Services Recruiter, via tmoulds@apexsystems.comCandidates must be US Citizens and able to obtain/maintain at minimum, a Secret Clearance, per a condition of employment.Position: Senior Test and Integration Engineer Location: Crystal City, VA - hybrid remote Terms: 6 month Contract to Hire Pay Rate: $125,000 - 135,000Desired Experience: The candidate will support the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) by evaluating the effectiveness and applicability of a broad range of information systems on technical matters on an as-needed basis to all task assignments. Extensive experience is desired in the following areas:Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Architecture (EA) experience, creating roadmaps, developing long term plans for technology solutions and The Open Group Architectural Framework experience (TOGAF)
  • Map mission requirements and business problems to re-usable end-to-end technology solutions
  • Provide support and expertise to all facets of the EA Program
  • Prepare briefings on EA for all levels of government; Prepare responses to EA PMO
  • Provide support to the government liaison with external stakeholder entities, to collect and validate detailed EA data
  • Design and implement the layers of the EA including technology, data, services, and business
  • Publish and provide EA artifacts to the COR and TM, which include but are not limited to: EA Repository and the CIO Quarterly Roadmap
  • Identity, Credentialing, and Access Management (ICAM) solutions and shared services
  • Innovation Design Concepts, Rapid Design Model(s), Iterative Design Thinking, Lean Agile and SAFeExtreme Prototyping methods
  • Increasing Endpoint visibility and capability
  • Developing security access to cloud-connected resources utilizing common Cloud Edge Security concepts (CASB, UCE, SASE, etc.)
  • Expanding secured data access to various environments and edge devices
  • Customer needs assessment commercial techniques for evaluation of satisfaction measurement/metrics tools
  • Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations
  • Direct extensive experience translating legacy desktop configurations into a mobile-connected workforce (Unified Endpoint Management, Mobile Device Management)
  • Delivery of minimum viable products (MVP) in condensed timeframes
  • Knowledge of Federal Law Enforcement organization concepts, networks, applications, and architectures (or DOJ, IC and DoD) including their "As-Is" and "To Be" plans
  • Awareness of industry shifts and recently evolved areas of cybersecurity, network design/protocol changes, and application development
  • Provide research and/or analysis as needed in support of data calls and meetings
  • Develop and maintain a consolidated EA repository, using agency specific software packages
  • Produce written technical cost analysis on the architectural impact of proposed IT investments
  • Research and interpret guidance, regulations, and mandates to make recommendations to government personnel
  • Map mission requirements and business problems to re-usable end-to-end technology solutions

  • Highly specialized in one or more phases of systems engineering and testing.
  • Evaluate the applicability of a broad range of information systems issues, including hardware/software integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and specifies system architecture and high-level design.
  • Provides advice and counsel to project and senior management through broad technical specialization of scientific theory and principals.
Required Qualifications
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Networks, or related STEM field, or other technology-related discipline.
  • Must have 6+ years' minimum relevant experience in Federal consulting
