We are seeking a full time skilled Construction Worker with advanced knowledge in interior finishing tasks for residential renovation projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in drywall installation, flooring installation, trim work, cabinet installation, painting, minor carpentry and plumbing.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and Site Clean-up:
Clear debris and prepare work areas.
Protect surfaces with drop cloths and masking materials.
Remove and dispose of old materials (flooring, drywall, trim).
Framing and Drywall Installation:
Assist in framing walls and openings.
Install, cut, fit, and secure drywall panels.
Tape and mud joints for smooth finishes.
Flooring Installation:
Prepare subfloors for new installations.
Install various flooring types (laminate, hardwood, tile, carpet).
Ensure proper alignment and level.
Trim Work and Finishing Touches:
Install door/window casings, baseboards, and crown molding.
Cut and install trim to specifications.
Paint interior walls, ceilings, and trim.
Tool Operation:
Operate power tools (drills, saws, sanders, nail guns) and hand tools (levels, measuring tapes, hammers, screwdrivers) safely and efficiently.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work effectively with other tradespeople (plumbers, electricians, carpenters).
Follow instructions from supervisors and project managers.
Communicate potential issues or delays promptly.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in interior residential construction.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces.
Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools.
Attention to detail for high-quality workmanship and precise measurements.
Understanding of and adherence to construction safety regulations.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
