Uncle Onion's Electric, Organic Lawn Care immediately needs Gardener Helpers in our Gardening Division. This is a part-time, seasonal position ending on November 30th. Our scheduling is flexible, making this a great job for a student. The position works under the direct supervision of the Gardening Supervisor. We work Monday - Friday, 7 AM to 8 PM, with weekends and holidays off. As a part time job, you don't need to be available every day, all day, but you need availability at some point during our working hours. No experience needed, but be prepared for fast paced, hard work. Pay is $15 per hour. Promotion potential to Gardener, with a pay raise to $20 per hour plus performance bonuses.
Job duties:
-Work on a team of two or more people under the supervision of the Gardening Supervisor or a Senior Gardener.
-Pull weeds
-Install mulch and other materials
-Cut and maintain edges
-Install plants
-Learn to trim and prune shrubs, bushes, plants, etc.
-Fall cleanups, involving leaf collection and removal
This job involves hours of stooping, kneeling, and bending. Expect heavy lifting and carrying, such as loading and unloading trucks by hand and moving wheelbarrows across unimproved surfaces. We work outdoors on steep slopes, uneven terrain, and slippery surfaces, and in all weather conditions; rain, heat (above 90 degrees fahrenheit), and cold.
