Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This role is integral to our team, focusing on the processing and administration of payroll along with other HR-related tasks. You will be working in a supportive team environment where your skills in payroll processing, benefits administration, and customer service will be highly valued.Responsibilities: Managing the processing of customer payroll, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Maintaining detailed and accurate records of customer payroll activities. Resolving customer inquiries related to payroll in a timely and detail oriented manner. Assisting with the administration of benefits, including during open enrollment periods. Handling pre-employment activities and assisting with the onboarding process. Scheduling interviews and screening potential candidates. Ensuring confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information at all times. Assisting in workforce development and other HR-related tasks. Managing the mailing of checks and other time-sensitive materials. Handling incoming calls and concerns related to payroll and benefits. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration Ability to perform Accounting Functions Expertise in Benefit Functions Experience in Benefits Administration and Benefits Coordination Ability to handle Benefits Payroll Knowledge of Compensation & Benefits Experience in Full Cycle Payroll Familiarity with HR Payroll System Proficiency in Payroll operations Experience with Payroll - Garnishments Ability to Process Payroll Skills to Reconcile Payroll Knowledge of Human Resources (HR) Administration Must be able to work independently and in a team environment Strong communication and organizational skills Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent problem-solving abilities High level of confidentiality and discretion Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or human resources preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
